Home Water Treatment Systems – Which One Do You Need?

The market is full of home water treatment systems and water treatment products, which does not surprise me at all. I mean, contaminated water makes the news almost every day; people become more and more panic stricken because of the possible issues that might develop.

People are worried about their health so they try to do anything that is possible to protect themselves from a curious disease developed from unfiltered tap water.

The most ridiculous thing is that due to the great number of contaminants that exist in tap water, and the way they react to each other and to different temperatures (hot, cold etc) we end up being some sort of lab rats for new and “improved” diseases that nobody has actually heard about before.

Obviously, it becomes clear now why some sort of home water treatment system is mandatory.

A home water treatment system should not be purchased based on its size and/or its shape only. Consider having your water tested before buying any water treatment product.

It is very important to test the water because this way you find out what your biggest enemies are. For example, if sand or dirt is your biggest problem, then you will need a filter that is able to remove physical particles from tap water.

If you have problems with the chemical compounds of your water, meaning that most of the contaminants are dangerous, then pure water distillers are a suggestion although they are not the greatest water treatment product choice.

This is because pure water distillers pass water through a process of vaporizing and liquefying, which will end up in eliminating only 60 to 80 percent of the harmful contaminants.

Some new water treatment products include ultraviolet light for sanitizing tap water. However the new and improved home water treatment system with UV is not the thing to buy because it does nothing for contaminants such as lead and pharmaceutical drugs, which are also real issue. UV light can only be used to destroy organic impurities only.

So what is the solution? Well one of the best home water treatment systems out on the Market today are those that are made with carbon filters or ceramic filters that eliminate a wide spectrum of impurities while keeping the minerals and salts.
